Flat tonic in my gin!
« on: June 22, 2010, 16:10:33 PM »
I am getting a bit fed up of having flat tonic (likely from a large bottle) in my gin - is there anywhere on the front that serves small bottles of tonic with the gin?  It's ok if you have 2 or 3 as eventually they have to open a new bottle but I always seem to kop for the flattest tonic (and I'm fed up asking them to change it only to get another flat one!!)

There is a bar at front of the dolphin hotel, has small glass bottles, it's the chill out bar with comfy seats and great music I can't remember the name'

The Seril Hotel right at the far end of the prom gives you the tonic in a small bottle.

We were fed up with not getting much gin in our tonics, the amount varied considerably from bar to bar.

If its not strong enough send it back and ask for more Gin, don't be shy about it. The Seryl does do small mixers, but in tins not bottles. But,there is to much for one drink and not enough for two.If you only have the one drink it works out more expensive. The bar Mark refers to is Called the Caribbean I believe.Have a good day.

If a bar is busy then there really is no excure for serving flat drinks ... in winter it's a little more understanable, although still not acceptable!

If they are using Schweppes it really did not ought to be flat, but there is a Turkish low cost variety, that they may be using and it does not have a very long life.Keep your eye on the barman
