Just back from two weeks in Calis, give the Lighthouse a try, food lovely, Chef apparently from 5 star hotel background.Best steak i have ever tasted (29 TL). Turn right at prom, 3/4 way down past Dennis The Menace. You can see your food being prepared.Well worth the walk.

Is he from Istanbul? I have lost rack of the 5 star chefs always from Istanbul and Izmir. I think that is what is supposed to be impressive to us Brits. Most of the Chinese have a the "Only genuine Chinese chef in this area" Does it matter if the food is good? L.O.L.

I think it's a good recommendation if the chef did actually work in a five star establishment . More to the point, my sister in law , her fiance and some friends who are there at the moment and have been going for years, have said in telephone calls to us that in their humble opinion, the lighthouse is by far the best restaurant in Calis this year.
Praise indeed!

What's your problem, i came on here to give some information on what i thought about a restaurant and maybe give someone else a good evening, and you turn up with your sarcasm.
Yes it does matter if the food is good, i don't give a flying fig where he comes from, you unpleasant moron.

We also had a great meal at the Lighthouse in June - we all had steaks as they were recommended and they were excellent.

The deep fried ice cream is pretty good too !

Teddy, no need to call anyone a moron:(

Mercury put a LOL at the end of her post to show it was a light hearted comment, if you think that was bad, you'd better get used to
light hearted banter very quickly
