Had a lovely day down at the Sands Bar with a group of friends. We chatted with Max the owner and he clarified that the beer is 4L during the day and the evening.  The reason it was 7L on their opening night was because he paid 15,000L for a Turkish band, a Turkish singer and an English singer etc.

Considering their is no charge for sunbeds and Efes is only 4L it is very reasonable and a lovely setting.

He is also doing fish chips and mushy peas on Sundays for 9L.

Christ,15,000ytl for a band that cant be right,you could get joe loss for less than that.You sure that you have not added to many 0000s.

I can live with 4tl for a beer & 9tl for chish n fips, count me in to try it as soon as I get out there.

yes its right Ebru Topal is very well known in turkey and it was her that charged that price everybody else did it for very little. Sands bar food is fantastic now they have a new chef, please try the chicken ceaser salad its wonderful and the only real ceaser salad ive found in calis and of course the fish and chips mmmmmmmmmm

If he paid 15000tl out one one night I hope he sales 15000 bottles of efes before the end of the season to cover it.

The money was for the famous Turkish woman singer. Tom Moss, dancers and another group. He charged 20TL admission which included a barbeque.

I'm out to Calis on Monday for 2 weeks and although there are many places I adore and will definitely return to it would be nice to try some new places too
