Sun Dial re opening
« on: April 28, 2012, 14:57:05 PM »
I have just had a lovely lunch at the Sun Dial and they are opening on Monday. It is looking beautiful now the majority of the work has been completed. They are just finishing the new terraces. There are a couple of new Sun Dials in the gardens one of which is superb with an arrow pointing skyward but as per usual didnt have my camera with me.When will I learn .I wish him luck for the new season and I have to say the lunch was excellent.Sadly the road up there is now very dilapidated due no doubt to extra heavy vehicles churning it up so take care if driving as some very deep ruts.Worth it when you get there though.

I'm very sad you forgot your camera Mavis, again! especially after all that tuition you had last winter  :)

Good luck Murat, the pics on FB look superb compared to the mudbath I saw when I was last there.

The Sun Dial used to advertise free transport - is this still the case?

I love this place and can't wait to return.  It's just fiddly to get to unless you book a taxi!  (not the end of the world, I know!)   :)

Well done Sun Dial - the photos look amazing!  8)

16 of us went there last week. They picked us up from Seaside in a large mini bus. It was my first time there. It was fantastic. The food was excellent. The view is stunning. Looking frward to go back.
