Calis Beach Indian
« on: September 25, 2014, 21:58:33 PM »
Great curry and good service.  Can't say if it was an "authentic" curry but just like any good Indian restaurant and we enjoyed it.  Onion Bhaji and Seik Kebab also very tasty.

Now why is my pic on it's side - sorry  :(

Not even this week when we were invited to a Company Dinner to commemorate  Phil's forthcoming retirement.
The menu had sirloin steak at £65.00 fillet at £75.00   Surf and Turf (Fillet Steak with half a lobster) £88.00
I will not tell you the price of the Wagyu beef, but it was in three figures..   I had the monk fish, Phil had the roe deer.  Lovely meal but the occasion was bitter sweet for Phil, as it's a big step in his life.
The guy next to me had the surf and turf I have never seen such a thick piece of fillet in my life.

How can they justify such inflated prices, but then if people are prepared to pay them.......

Wagyu - is that the "cheaper" version of Kobe type beef?
