smartphone boarding cards - useable at Dalaman?
« on: August 13, 2014, 14:24:44 PM »
Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the right area for this topic but here goes - I have downloaded the Easyjet App and have our boarding passes on my smartphone.  But, there is a list of countries on their website which does not include Turkey - does that mean I will not be able to use it at Dalaman for coming home but will need to print out?

Thanks Heather

That reminds me of one of the few conservative politicians for whom I have any time. From memory, it was John Biffen {famously described as a "semi-detached" minister in Thatcher's first cabinet}. He was asked a difficult and hopelessly convoluted question in The House by a Labour MP. His reply was along the lines of: "You have asked me three questions. The answers are Yes, No and Yes ... but not necessarily in that order".

P.S. I think he was also responsible for an answer to a question from the grand Labour leftist Dennis Skinner  {"The Beast of Bolsover"} that suggested class bias in the Tory party, the answer beginning with "As one grammar school boy to another ...". Even Dennis was forced to chuckle at this.

I do like the ability to think on one's feet in politics and to humourous about it. Not much of that about it politics in any era, and almost entirely absent today.

Thank you for your helpful and amusing answers!
That reminds me of Eric Morecambe talking about his piano playing - 'I'm playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order' lol :D
