Hi, i heard somewhere that foreigners had to have a special driving licence to use a van here, does anyone know if this is true as there are some cheaper/
newer small vans for sale than cars online..... :)

If you are here for more than 6 months you are supposed to apply for a Turkish Licence - the Turkish Licence says that foreigners are not allowed to drive commercial vehicles.   At the moment the Police don't seem to have a problem with people who haven't got a Turkish Licence - not sure what the situation is if you get stopped with a UK licence driving a commercail vehicle.  It will say on the registration documents whether it is a commercial vehicle or not.
