Garanti have just raised their rates for interest accounts upto 27 days to 10.40%. They have not upgraded their accounts over this period yet? Anyone else seen some changes at their banks?

Not a very generous opening offer on rates from Garanti, methinks.
As I was saying to my old mate Mick earlier, perhaps the thing to be in this year is Turkish Bank shares, as they must be making money hand over fist in commission and margin in this current Lira crisis. They win if you sell and they win if you buy!!

For a under 27 days account on 25k TL it is quite generous, it's the over rate that will be more interesting as if reflective to past should be in the region of 12% but they have not changed it yet so guess they are playing the see what others offer game??
