Freeview is digital. Terrestrial tv in turkey is analogue so wouldn't bother with that.
Sky requires BIG dish for bbc,itv etc.
Hotbird 13e has english films, kids channels and BBC Prime for free. Digiturk or D-Smart has documentary channels and kids channels. (D-Smart is one-off payment like freeview but received through satellite dish AFAIK)

thanx for that - currently installing all those lovely digi masts and eco friendly  Wind turbines throughout Carnwall, so i thought if its good enff for the pastie eaters, i'd try the digital era in turkey ~ lights the fuse and stands back
