Accommodation suitable for Disabled person
« on: May 14, 2009, 14:48:28 PM »
Hi,

My Mum and Dad are wanting to visit Calis but my Mum has MS so spends most of her time in a wheelchair.  Are there any apartments/hotels you can recommend which are wheelchair friendly.

Thanks

My friends are currently at Halcyon Days for the second year running. As I reported on the earlier topic, the hotel is perfect for total wheelchair users. When I enquired with the Delta Hotel, they replied that they were not suitable for wheelchair users. It is possible that the bathrooms are not ideal.
The details for Halcyon Days are: Tel: 0090 252 6168119, web: www.halcyondaysholidays.com

If anyone wishes to stay in calis with a hotel that has facilities for the disabled then they should revue the Pelin Hotel. The main building has a lift to all floors and in addition, they have a limited number of rooms with full disability equiptment, bathrooms etc.The hotel is close to the centre of calis and the prom, some 200 mtrs away.Jewel in the crown,is one company that features it for 2009 and also 2010.good luck with your choice.

Yes, pedestrian lights sound good on paper, but there are no street lights at this crossing, we drive past it every night when in Calis and we always slow down. It's a very dark area and pedestrians cross against the lights all the time and are hard to see until you get close up.  Also even when the lights are on stop a lot of motorists and particularly motorcyclists ignore them and just sail through.
