Energy providers-Is this greed.
« on: February 24, 2010, 13:41:05 PM »
I pay my energy provider by monthly direct debit.I recently received an e-mail from them intimating that they were about to increase my monthly payment from £46 to £70 :o.On checking with them, I found that I was over £100 in credit at the time[?].After contacting them they agreed that an increase to £55 would be adequate and that they had got it wrong.Better in my pocket than theirs. What cheek.

That happened to me when I lived in the UK. I did what you did and in fact as I was nearly 300 pounds (new PC & no pound sign) in credit so we agreed to give me a refund and to a drop in my monthly DD payment.
