Shooooooooes

Ok, i've searched and cannot find any mention of shoe shopping.:( Does it exist i ask, the shops that is, not the shoe shopper.:D Apart from the market does anyone know of any decent shoe shops that sell mostly shoes, and not clothes first - shoes second. I need some new pairs to go with the furniture we're buying, (and I don't do flipflops, trainers or sandals even on the beach or rock climbing!), and yes Maria Marcos whateverhername pales into second place when it comes to shoes.:D

thanks.
Dippey.

Dippey there are some lovely shoe shops in Fethyie, well worth a visit and reasonably priced too compared to what we pay here.
Happy shopping.

I have seen the shoes, Mick and I commented on how many there were for 2 people!!  And these were only the ones littered at the top of the stairs, God knows what Heidi has hidden away.  Muko looked like he had his fair share as well.

"Hell freezes over" - i found this, when shall i expect him????
I'm afriad my shoes only congergrate under our beds and at the bottom of wardropes, about 45pairs last count, but i did throw some away in the spring when my boyfriend moved in, blasphomy i know, but i had to make a commitment, (i've still got the largest two wardropes!?)

I cut and pasted this from another forum:http://www.fredericknewspost.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=7&threadid=4124

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington
chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the
professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course,
why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic
(absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas
cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we
need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at
which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul
gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how
many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different Religions that
exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not
a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than
one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one
religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in
Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the
volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature
and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand
proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls
enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until
all
Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in
Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year
that, "it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take
into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number 2 must
be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen
over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it
follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore,
extinct...leaving only Heaven thereby proving the existence of a divine
being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A"
of course he did, the lecturer got bored after 3 lines, so he gave an "A" to save himself from any more punishment, the same reason i was going to delete it, but as i am a sadist i thought i would leave it for other members looking for a "Good (or Bad) Shop to suffer.

Fethiye has shoe shops in abundance, and such a choice of styles. but alas this is my biggest nightmare, I dream of going into a shop trying on any pair that takes my fancy and putting them in the cupboard with my many other shoes, sandal, boots, even flipflops! But then I wake up and hold my head in sorrow, for you see I have size 9-10 (43-44) and just unable to get ladies shoes in Turkey.

When my visitors come they do bring shoes from the Uk, but oh to go into a shop and choose my own.

Anyone know of a good plastic surgeon to take 2 sizes off my feet!!

Crabbitt you should have read to the end it was marvelous and funny stuff........
Very clever Dippey.
Now back to the thread . It is difficult to explain where the shoe shops are as they are scattered around that is why I offerred to show you. But my two favourite ones are in Paspartur, Fethiye. Quite close to the Ottoman bar.
