Still haven't found it here yet but a good tip.

I have just done a Char Su( UsingPork belly) it was great by the way

As one of the main tastes is Star Annis , I added a shot of Racki and it worked a treat.

1 teaspoon ground szechwan pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 1/4 teaspoons ground fennel
1 teaspoon ground star anise

If you cannot find the szechwan pepper, you can use black peppercorns(ground them yourself) but do not use shop bought ground black pepper  plus 2 allspice berries and ground them.

I got loads of it 1kg i think and we got it here somewhere but cant remember where - possibly one of the pork shops. Its in a proper plastic bag sealed and has a label on it - i'll have a look and see if i can find who makes it.
Star Anise is hard to find here - usually get that from UK. - or substitute with Raki - lol

Star Anise is available in the daily market in Fethiye.
