I prefer it hot so that I don't have to pay heating bills  :)

i am just thinking of those hot humid night in August in Turkey,  where  your in bed the Mrs moaning its  freezing  with the Aircon on, does not  matter what setting i use its still to cold for her under the covers wrapped up like a sausage roll , then its unbearable with the Aircon off for me sweating just like being in a Sauna the pillow soaked with sweat,  i fall asleep she turns the Aircon off,  she falls asleep i turn it on, we spend  half the night fighting over the remote for the Aircon lol  how many others out there  are like this or is it just us  ;D

My problem with aircon was more the clicking on and clicking off, the sounds of it expanding and contracting etc - it used to drive me mad some nights.

In 2003 I was working in the Falklands and did a monthly trip to Ascension Island (on the equator) I so looked forward to those trips to escape the cold, the job then reversed and I lived on Ascension and did the monthly trip to the Falklands and I still could not wait to get back to Ascension. In our bungalow there was A/C in every room, used it once didn't like it and just used ceiling fans when we thought they were needed. We could have had the A/C on day and night as we never had to pay for electricity or any other utility.
