Yes Badger and Tiggsy, the Tab 3 8" seems pretty good.  My friend lent me hers over the weekend and I had a good play around with it.  It was easy to use but did make me realise that I need the 10" version, it is surprising how much bigger it appears to be.  Asda have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" for £249 instead of £349 at the moment so that is a possibility.

You might want to look at this then:

Samsung Refurb Galaxy Note 10.1 Wifi 16GB - White £139.99

Not sure of the warranty, you'd need to check that out yourself.

Well I went for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" and very pleased I am with it too.  The screen is clear and large enough to be able to see an almost complete web page.  When used in landscape mode its keyboard is large, I can quickly type without hitting the wrong keys all the time and it has Polaris Office on (word processor and a spreadsheet) which once I learn how to use should be sufficient for use in Turkey.

Sad person that I am, I have enjoyed setting it up.  Just one question, what security suite do you guys use on your tablets?  Are any of the free ones any good?

I use AVG, but thats probably more out of habit (I 've used it for years on desktops & laptops) as there are several other decent apps available.

Here's a couple of recent reviews to help you decide:

Thanks John & Ian, I did download AVG free this morning but as always was interested in others experiences. Thanks for the links John, will read and digest later.
