I think this article published in Zaman recently makes interesting reading as it gives a view of the situation in light of Turkey doing nothing for the Syrian town of Kobani falling into the hands of ISIS militants.  I can't imagine UK standing by if this was happening so close to our border but this just illustrates the complexity of the situation. Very sad what lies ahead for this town if it is captured.

Turkey is to allow Iraqi Kurd fighters ("terrorists" according to AKP government) to gain access to Kobane via Turkish territory. Kerry must have had Erdogan in an arm lock and put a gun to his head!
