transfer speed

Help please i am trying to download my download speed is 620 but transfer to torrent is only 1.2 kbs 2 days ago it was 650kbs any idea what is going on ,waste of time downloading with that speed . : :)

Lance, torrent is file sharing where you access another persons file at the same time as letting others access your file, so you are dependant on others being on line and multiple users trying to download at the same file. It is also common practice for ISPs too throttle (slow down) torrent sites when demand is high, as many files are breaching copyright (we won't go there!).
