Turkey May Soon Run Out of Gas

Russia Is Strangling Turkey: Country Could Soon Run Out of Gas

"Gas is next. Russia will start pulling it.  They have already cancelled work on the underwater gas pipeline which, together with the [Russian-built] nuclear electric plants, would eventually make Turkey more energy independent.
Turkey cannot get that much gas replaced.  They are in public conflict not only with Russia but also with alternative suppliers.  They sided with the Muslim Brotherhood so Egypt will not supply them.  They have been very aggressively critical of Saudi Arabia so they will not supply them."

I wonder sometimes how helpful these kind of posts are to people who still have property/business interests in Turkey...?

More helpful than if we avoided them so they could keep their head in the sand?

Ah... so you only want the nice fluffy news, like Xmas menus and beach parties?

If, by posting the reality of what's happening currently in Turkey, anyone with property or business interests finds it unhelpful then maybe they...

Fill in the rest yourself, I can't be bothered and I'd probably upset some sensitive souls.

When we got the new kitchen we opted for an electric hob, as we did not have to have a big gas bottle in the kitchen and I have never really liked gas.  We gave our neighbour's the bottle who told us that they always liked to have the gas hob in case of power cuts.
Glad we did it now, and if we get a power cut we will just head off down to a restaurant, with the rest of the people who no longer have gas next year.
I predict a rush on electric hobs and ovens very soon.   Perhaps "H" would like to start a Charity Event on when it will happen??      :)    ;)

I don't think electric hobs will save Turkey if their supply of gas ends...

Your local power station (Peterhead) supplies electricity. A power station powered by gas.
