Ephesus & Pumukale

Ok. Going for a one night stay this week. What essentials do we need other than a change of underwear and a camera?

Any ideas would be helpful.

Plenty of suncream and hats for Ephesus. It can get very hot there and not a lot of shade.
Swimsuits for Pamukkale if you intend to swim in the pools.
Rucksack/bag of some kind to carry shoes, you're not allowed to wear them on the 'castles'.

Plenty of water for Ephesus, as once you're inside the site there's nowhere to stock up

As said before plenty of water and sun cream for Ephesus . Amazing place but gets very hot when walking about .Swim gear for Pamukkale if going in pools and also if staying at a hotel overnight as ours had a swimming pool.

We went the other week . If you can stay at selcuk .A lovely little town /village there are lovely restaurants and it’s so nice to walk around in the evening. All the taxi drivers at Ephesus will tell you it’s a long walk and let them take you to the upper gate then you walk to the lower gate . But it’s not required we walk from the lower gate to the upper gate walking slightly up hill then have a cup of tea etc then walk back down hill . As people have said you do need to take water sun cream as there is very little shelter . Also by the library ther is the village house site definitely worth the extra cost to visit . Have fun

Haha - the cracks were so large some people could get their middle fingers in them  ;)
