We live in Üzümlü and have a beautiful fushia which is really thriving, but first winter for it this year so will try to nurse it through.

They need dappled shade in the summer.

kayakoyuoldboy is correct also keep well watered and fed, are you thinking of planting one in the garden and growing it as a standard or in a hanging basket, outdoors in the winter they will lose there leaves and die back, you can plant them in a pot/hanging basket and move them indoors or to a greenhouse/conservatory for the winter, the same rules will apply to both, if you grow a standard in the garden you will need to wrap it in garden fleece when the temp drops below 45f at night to get it through the winter...

Denniz,
Thanks for the info, I grow them in the UK and am aware of the frost issues and losing their leaves, just thought that perhaps with the milder winters in Turkey they would over winter all that much better - even to the point of not losing all their leaves, or dieing back with the more tender varities.  As always with us gardeners I will experiment and see what lives, and what doesnt!

Thanks for the comments.
