Post by: sannyrut on June 29, 2011, 11:50:01 AM
Can you still buy antibiotics over the counter at Pharmacies in Turkey?I had to buy some a few years ago while on holiday in Calis at a pharmacist in Fethiye and wondered if the situation had changed?

I believe they do but of course you need to be careful buying what would normally be presciption drugs in the UK unless they have been prescribed before by someone who knows your current health history.

I only write this only as a caution - I am sure you know what you are doing  :)

Yes you can get anything over the counter including penicillin.  Chemist opposite Migros in Fethiye town centre speaks good English and will give you excellent advice.   If you know what you want the Chemists at the back of the hospital in Fethiye which is the very last turn off going passed the front of the hospital (It's the one that the sausage shop was behind) Is a good Chemist, they don't speak a lot of English but, as I say if you know what you need they are great.
