Suehugh,

I think it depends on whether you are insuring as a holiday home or permanent home.

We insure as a holiday home and use Intasure based in the UK and we have been more than happy for 6 years - although we have not yet needed to make a claim.

After great recommendation on this Forum a few years ago, we also started to use Intasure.  They may not be the cheapest but they are U.K. based, easy to talk to and get hold of and seem to offer very good policies.
Incidentally, you will still need to get your Dask in Turkey.

Jacqui,

Incidentally, you will still need to get your Dask in Turkey.

Actually, Intasure will also get your DASK for you - they have done ours for 4 years now. I believe they have an agent in Turkey who gets it for them, but they are happy to handle it all - for a small surcharge. They email me each year reminding me its due, I pay by card in GBP and they email me the DASK certificate.

Intersure arrange our dask as well.

That is strange, because I had a call last week from them to renew our policy and I asked about the Dask, as we get it in Turkey and the girl told me it was not included, she did not say they could do that as well.

Intasure have always done our Dask too. Due at different time from insurance but they just e-mail e-mail and I pay by credit card - no hassle.

Got a phone call from Intasure yesterday informing me that my Dask was due.  When they quoted the price I had to ask if I had heard correctly, it had gone down by several pounds due to the exchange rate.  Happy days!  ;D

Intasure for me you only get what you pay for, they are no means the cheapest but probably the best, after being burgled many years ago and being insured by a turkish company and only being paid out a pittance for my loses then i beleave intasure would be the best option.
