Title: Water BıllsJust
Post by: quackers on July 03, 2014, 10:02:47 AM
Just been ınformed by Çıftlık Belediye that we can now pay our water bılls. For my area the offıce ıs ın the road  opposıte the new A101 passed the Law courts. You need a meter readıng and Abone Number or an old bıll. Shall try and pay mıne tomorrow.

In the time honoured British tradition.

"How much?"

I know the Belediye have been fighting the proposed outrageous increases that Muğla wanted to impose quadrupling the cost of water!

My wife was told by some one at the Belediye's office that the price increase was aimed at high usage such as hotels and so on.The higher price would only come in to play if you use huge amounts of water far more than a normal household would use.Has anyone else heard this.

Paid my bill from Mar/Apr at the new office today.Staff were a bit slow as still in training mode, but the bill had no intrest added to it.Easier location for us rather than Gunlukbasi or Fethiye. Its opposite where the Turkish Delight shop used to be.

Went today and they are only accepting old/outstanding bills for payment but the system is very slow. Gave up after 15 mins. They will be reading all meters in the next 2 weeks (inshallah). The office is opposite A101 in the building where the wood furniture shop used to be.

yes our meters have been read today in Dalyan - domestic 1.5 lira a unit, but if you are not down as 'mesken' but 'insaat' - 5 lira a unit!
Title: Re: Water BıllsJust
Post by: nichola on July 10, 2014, 16:46:55 PM
Meskan is house - insaat means construction. Would be good to know the business rate too!

I have just copied and pasted this off another forum for your information.

Water bills. There are 4 offices where you can pay.

1 Karaçullah

2 Ölüdeniz

3 Fethiye

4 opposite A101 on the Road from Çaliş to Fethiye.

They were informed you will soon be able to pay at your bank as well. System still slow.

Posted on the FB page "Uzumlu Village News" today;

"Had our water meter read this morning, @ 1.5 lira per cu m, plus tax"

Confirms Nichola's post regarding cost.  Meter readers are now out doing the rounds.

Eric is it still the same rip off arrangement-   X3 if you have a pool?
Title: Re: Water BıllsJust
Post by: Eric on July 12, 2014, 23:15:06 PM
Nope, everyone now pays 1.5 TL whether they have a pool or not.  So for you and me no change.  For the villagers a three fold increase.

So can anyone co  :)nfirm if we can pay our water bills now by taking the meter reading.  Also, where is the payment office, as I am no longer sure.  I know it was above the belediye in Fethiye, but even with reading all the threads, I am confused.  Hope you can help!    :)

My apartment is just at the back of Calis Kipa and i had my bill last week but i wish i hadn't!!! No living permission meant 5Tl / unit plus tax which is 8%. I was reliably informed in the office that the cost on the next bill will be 4Tl but it will not drop any further. For those who have living permission the cost will be 2Tl / unit plus tax

The office says you can take your meter number (on your old bill)or take an old bill and your meter reading and you can pay for your water. I presume this relates to all areas and offices although I was enquiring at my local office.

Thats not true! My new bill from Mugla was 74 TL and that was for just over 4 months. The only changes were that you are now charged 1.50 lira a unit for your water and 50 kurus a unit for waste water.

Last week I had to pay  74TL for a tax that came out a couple of months ago, this seems to agree with Puma's post.

when I asked what tax this was, the guy said he didn't know. not part of his job.

Took our meter number to the office behind the PTT - the lady made a phone call and we duly paid our water bill for the apartment.

At the same time, we paid our communal water for the pool (one of our neighbours has it on their meter).  I thought that maybe they had made a mistake at the bill came out at 440 lira (180 cubic mtrs).  I think that someone did not pay the water last year, which might explain the cubic mtrs, but even so the bill was 3x more than we would normally have paid for 1 season.  The lady did ask if it was for a pool.  91.50 lira was for the waste water (atiksu) - a bit of a con, when most of the water went in the pool and not down the toilet  : :)

In case anyone isn't aware it is possible to pay your water bill at (I presume any) Fatura.  Living in Ciftlik and with mobility problems and no private transport, paying at the new office in Calis was a pain in the fundament.  So much easier to be able to get off at the dolmus station, pay at the Fatura opposite without having to trek into the centre or catch another dolmus into Calis.

I have just paid my water bill on line with Mugla Buyuksehir.
It seems we we were charged 1.5 TRY for each cubic metre but there were several other items on the bill; amongst them ATIK Su which I think is waste water even though we are on a septic tank, there was CTV and KDV the latter I know is VAT by any other name, there also minor fines for being late with the payment.

Link used   https://odeme.muski.gov.tr/
Then debt link on the right (if you use chrome it automatically translatesthe tabs on the right)
Then tick subscribe with registration no
Then put in the tin label number on your water meter.

Our bill came up and in the midst of a table listing our current bill and the earlier one which we were late in paying was a line about "do you want to hire a four wheel truck". I ignored this I suppose it could be for those wanting to hire a tanker e.g. to fill a pool.

Paying the bill, it kept failing with a Garanti debit card but worked first time with a credit card (UK based CC).

Once paid they provide a PDF for each bill/receipt to print.

A less painful way of doing it than queuing although DD would be even better.

We popped into the office earlier to pay our water bill and were in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Just get the ticket out of the machine as you go in and wait for number on  it to come up on the screen and then go and pay couldn't be easier.

ATIK Su ıs waste water from your washıng machıne ,shower etc. If you dıd not have a septık tank they would also charge for removal of sewerage wıth a seperate charge on your bill.

It's the water that goes down the drain or the toilet, they don't actually meter this but use a percentage of the overall water used in your property.
