As with most 'balconied' apartments we have a built in BBQ with log storage beneath.
I'd like to buy a small gas BBQ (gas bottle beneath) Are they available ? And where please.
Been gas BBQing in UK for years (can't be @rsed with charcoal)
If not I may need to draw plans and commission an ironmonger !!!

We tried to get one a few years ago in the Fethiye area. We found they were expensive and not popular with the locals.
We did have a gas bbq at home in the U.K. but got rid of it as we found the food tastes much better with a traditional bbq.
There is no fuss lighting bbq's we just get one of those bags of bbq bricks, you just light the bag and it burns up really quickly, so no bother at all. Get them in most of the big Supermarkets in Calis or Fethiye.

Evim garden centre in Ovacik sells them.
-
B&Q has both types.
Tried gas and went back to charcoal
-
Thanks - I'll give them a try.
We are top floor balcony so it shouldn't bother the neighbours !
I've never noticed any difference between gas and charcoaled food as
its the atomized fat smoke that gives the bbq'd flavour not the charcoal.
And gas bbq'd food never tastes of lighting fluid ;)
(And no detritus to clear up !!!!)

Never use lighting fluid just as Jacqui says the bags of Mangals charcoal have small bits of kindling in.Once lit blast the whole lot with a hairdryer it make it burn ferociously and cuts down the wait until cooking time
-
Do the Mangals come and remove the ashes ?
(Sounds great for the beach !)

We ordered a gas barbie for the complex from this website in the summer. http://www.hepsiburada.com/

We bought a gas borek griddle with a removable top and used that for BBQing.
-
We bought one a few years back on the road up from Migros (near the Tuesday market).
Works great and gas lasts ages. Much better than trying to use the rubbish charcoal they sell over there.(http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/12/15/e7f9cb36817dddbba7f58742f458837a.jpg)

Migros had a few different gas BBQs for sale Spring/Summer
