Title: Mobility scooter
Post by: Stuart T on April 03, 2018, 18:10:32 PM
I can no longer walk very far and would benefit from a mobility scooter in Fethiye.

Can anyone suggest where I can hire one please?

      Stuart

Don't forget to tuck your shorts into your socks so they don't catch in the wheels.      :)

Going to pull them WAY UP HIGH over my nipples and under my armpits.

I don't have one here.

Only very recently needed help in this matter (Bristol Airport's long distance walks to the departure gates were the deciding factor).

Emphysema (years of previous smoking) plus huge weight gain (underactive thyroid, lack of exercise, eating too much) have made far worse a long term back injury (ruptured disc) to create the current need for a scooter.

So, essentially a self made condition.

From qualified squash coach and keen tennis player to this in a relatively short time.

....and sadly, I really enjoyed every blooming faggie and still sneak a crafty one.

Stupid or what?

Sounds like you need a holiday Stuart.    Hope you have a good one. It's a nice flat area for a scooter, go for it.     ;)

On the plus side, I took early retirement at 50 and do get away on holidays a few times a year.

Flights and hotels are so cheap at times - I think Turkey's about the most expensive place I fly to.

Fethiye's always the main holiday and I try for a few weeks in September each year plus a smaller break in May.

64 now and still barely with the brains I was born with!

The old, old story: try to travel when you have the time and money to do it AND the health to fully enjoy it.

Enough soul - baring. CBF provides a very handy, somewhat anonymous, platform for such ramblings.

Thank you for your suggestions.

There is a shop next to Ali's cycle shop on Baris Manco, that hires, sells and repairs scooters of all varieties.  Ali is great, but more for bicycles.  You will soon be able to whiz around!!

Would a pushbike be no good to you Stu, Go everywhere on ours & it helps with the fitness,  Going for a weigh in soon but going on trouser sizes reckon I've lost over 2 stone since living here, healthier food & no car helps,  Still drink & eat but find i don't need as much food now despite head being bigger than belly quite often.

May well be worth a bash, Lee.

Pocketful of inhalers and a couple of Efes's I'll be all set!

I've seen three wheelers out there but not sure if you can hire them. You might stay on one of those

      a bit longer when you've had a few jars Stuart.          ;)  ;)
