theirs a lot of recommendations for the private smaller boats but what about the big ones we will be over back end of May 5 of us including my 5 year old granddaughter and I wondered which would be the best for the 12 island cruises

Hi Trainer we always book on çaliş high street and go on the Hanedan 1 or 2 boat. They pick you up from nearest hotel and take you to Fethiye harbour where you board the boat. It is a nice full day trip with buffet lunch chicken or fish. The boat does about 6 swim stops out of 12 and the rest is just a sail by. Usually about £10-15 each but discount for group bookings. Mixed ages and nice atmosphere. :)

Our 1st choice is always Popeye boat. They pick you up at small pier at Sat restaurant. They have a FB page too.

Not sure that Jerry is "allowed" to do a 12 islands cruise DianaJ :-\ :-\ :-\
-
From his web site:
"We have been running boat trips in Fethiye for many years. Our boat trips are a very relaxing way to take in the beautiful bays in and around the 12 Islands in Fethiye Bay. Our Captains have many years experience and knowledge of the best bays to visit ensuring you have a relaxing and enjoyable day."

Oops - my mistake My apologies to Jerry.
-
Why wouldn't he be allowed to do 12 islands?? Jerry is long established in the local area for many years..
What s the criteria for being able to sail a 12 island boat trip
-
Bernie - I have already apologised if I was wrong (I have know Jerry for 18 years and have had many, many boat trips with him).
I genuinely thought that there was some regulation that said there is a restriction on the size of boats who offered 12 island tours.

Hi - Does anyone do a half day/less than a full day trip? Not sure one member of my family can manage a full day on a boat
-
You could try the Gocek market trip on a Sunday, not compulsory to go the market. You'll spend an hour and a half or so on the boat then get about 3 hours in Gocek, plenty of time for a wander round and get some lunch, then back on the boat for the return trip. We've always enjoyed this as you get the best of both worlds.
The last one we did was combined with a 12 islands tour, they just dropped a few of us off at Gocek then went off to do a few more islands and picked us up on the way back. Think this is to avoid high mooring costs there, but it was a good day out.

It's not very often I quote from Trip Advisor but this from 24 October 2017.
"We had wanted to go to the 12 islands and when we booked the evening before with Jerry, he did say that only sailing boats go to the islands".
-
Just a thought but would Inspector be able to shed some light on this matter.

We love the boats from Calis; you can book at the office opposite the Kerim Hotel.
Our favourite is Ekinim boat, run by the lovely Gokhan, but I’ve tried others, and they’ve been marvellous too. The food is fantastic - a huge arrangement of mezes with chicken, lamb, fish and liver, then homemade cake and fruit in the afternoon. No queuing or portion control.
The best thing is they’re operated as a co-operative, so they all share the profits, and there’s no traipsing all the way to Fethiye.
Captain Jerry is a lovely man, but the emphasis of his trips is fishing.

Hi Lindsay - have you booked a 12 islands cruise at that office ?
-
I have!! Usually do one a week whilst we’re there.
-
Thanks for your reply Lindsey - I didn't think you could book a 12 island cruise from there.
