Hi Beach Bunny
we went to Calis in October and took our niece and her friend with us, aged seventeen, they both had a great time and will be coming out with us again this year. they made a lot of friends, who they have kept in touch with and will see again.

Hi Beach Bunny, I have an apartment in Calis and both of my elder daughters (early 20s) use it at least once a year with their friends, they seem to find enough to do until the early hours then laze by the pool topping up their tan. Go for it girl

Beach Bunny.
Sorry but I agree with Colwyns first post, why ask such a question of a forum with an obvious bias towards Calis,
strikes me as rather daft.

Hi BB,
they do say one shouldn't recommend a holiday to another, as what pleases one does not please someone else. However, having read the forum, as I'm sure you have, and, as they also say, they can't all be wrong! In any case, Calis is no Alcatras, you are free to explore the whole area, but hey, at the end of the day it is Turkey, so how could you possibly go wrong???? :D

Beach Bunny  - where ever you go in the world you will find people with differeing opinions - the only way to know for sure it to give it a go and see for yourself.  We love turkey - no, Calis isn't our favourite part of Turkey, and the beach isn't fantastic, but the scenery in and around Fethiye is spectacular, the people amazing and you will go a long long way to match the friendliness and hospitality that the locals offer.  Calis is a great place to be, even if you aren't blown away by the beach - easy for Fethiye, close enough to Olu Deniz (now that IS a beach !)and very central to pick up tours etc.  If you don't have a car there are plenty of restaurants etc to keep you satisfied in the evenings.  give it a go, and I bet you will be bitten by the love-bug like the rest of us ! :)

Beach Bunny,

Take no notice of grumpy forum members with white beards.

The real tragedy is that there is yet another one who hasn't posted in this thread so far, who will soon enough - helping to make your mind up to come with 14 photographs of Clackmannanshire.

:D

If you want a really biased opinion ring up Prime minister  Erdogan, I am sure he will tell you how wonderful it is.

MikeA, you know very well that Erdogan does not holiday in Calis. He goes to the same place as you and I.

Colwyn, I am sure that Erdogan would not have told the whole world that.
Now everyone knows.  :)
