We are a family of vegetarians and are off to Calis Beach in August.
What's the general quality of veggie food like there (is there anywhere special) ?

Also, what are the chances of getting a good curry there ?

Goodness me BlackAdder !!!  You will be in heaven !  Turkish food is fantastic for vegetarians, the best dishes are vegetarian.  The quality of the fruit and veg in Turkey is fantastic.  If you are catering for yourself, take a trip to Calis market on a Sunday morning and stock up.  Traditional cuisine is predominently veggie.  Oh dear, those belt buckles will have to be let out a notch by the time you go home !!!

Best curry  - head for the Shine.

Pookie is right - I am also veggie and as my hubbie is Turkish we eat mostly Turkish food - spinach and rice tonight, bean casserole tomorrow.  The aubergines with yogurt is great as is anything with chickpeas. Look out for the courgette fritters too  Eggs and cheese for breakfast and all the lovely fruit ...you will be in your element !

You will be in heaven the others are right.  When eating out don't go to the big restaurants on the front - head into Fethiye and look for the two restaurants opposite the post office.  Good veggie stuff in there.
