could some one  tell me if it is possible to get a meter or a device
that tells how much gas is left in bottle before it runs out[?]please.

Yes there is.  You can get one at a caravan shop or gas supplier or online.  Google it, here is one.

never knew about this device, going to buy one, often wondered when the gas would go and find myself with no replacement

Great bit of information - just bought one on ebay for £2.49p + £1 delivery.

It would be far easier to get two and replace the empty one with the full one and swap the empty on for a full one  :)
