Where to live in Fethiye

My parents are looking at the possibility of moving to Turkey, in the Fethiye region.  Can anybody recommend good residential areas and areas to avoid.  Thanks.

Uzumlu best of both worlds ,away from the hussle and bussle ,but only twenty minutes from Fethiye,  Calis etc

Isn't that near the cement factory?

Catalarik up and coming area quite 10 min walk Gunlabashi on dolmus route 5 min in car to calis 10 min fethiye.

Hmmm you can't write something like that without peeing off a good percentage of members here  

I wouldn't say there are places to avoid - what is more important is to know what your parents are looking for, hoping for etc.

There are places I wouldn't live if they were giving villas away free, but some people seem to love being there - it's all down to what they want and how much they have to spend.

Maybe I;m wrong, but surely the cement factory will affect all of us in the fethiye region.  When and if it happens.
