Anyone see the huge turtle in the harbour last week ? It came right up to the harbour wall just in front of Tadim's and was about 2 feet away from me, but of course I didn't have my camera with me. There was a smaller one following, and they were having a bit of a play and I'm guessing the smaller would be the female? It was quite a sight.

We saw them on Wednesday near the water taxi too, also my other half and daughter saw dolphins off of Calis beach, the Koca Calis end.  To see the Turtles playing was brilliant and added to yet another fantastic week in Fethiye area, roll on Easter school holidays.

you can see a fully grown one in the harbour waterfront every day where the fishing boats tie up near the amphithetre. the local fishermen call her fatmah. i once saw her splashing arround in the water in a state , then noticed a fisherman reach over and cut a load of monofiment fishing line from her front flipper, it seemed very much like she went for his assistance.
they go off for the winter this time of year .some say as far as the carribean...i dont know.
