We are Sally and Roger of Uzumlu, Incirkoy and UK. Yes to those that know us, we are still in UK, 2 and half years we've been trying to get to Turkey permanently.
Yes we have been burgled too, in UK and Uzumlu, the Police in UK were very helpful, as we the Jandarma in Uzumlu & Fethiye, but nobody has been caught for either incident. All we can do is strengthen security. We've been advised to have plenty of security lights on the outside of the property. Thieves hate to be seen.
Ourselves, if it were legal, would have electric fences!
In UK we've heard of one household that was secured by electric gate, secured windows and doors and alarm. The thieves got in through the roof!!
I have noticed that most thieves are getting in through patio doors, maybe they need to be better secured. Just a thought.
