Sarnic, news of its demise?
« on: March 16, 2010, 12:13:51 PM »
New to the forums, though not to Kaya.I have recently heard that the wonderful restaurant, the Sarnic is unlikely to be open this season, so for all you gastro types out there (!), where should we celebrate our anniversary and birthday this year, in May in Kaya?

Scunner, I really hope you are not making me an april fool-that would be wicked! But if true, thats the best news I have heard all week!
Faruk and the missus Selma have a wonderful place, one of the reasons we keep coming back.
But we have time for other suggstions, after all, we need to eat for 2 weeks!

Glad we are not the only ones to appreciate the Sarnic.
I would be really happy to hear after april 1 a confirmation that they are indeed up and running again.
In the meantime, dont be shy, offer us other good eating tips in the area!
Less elegant surroundings, and for informal eating, we also like Caspers, but are looking för somewhere for that special evening!

I have just heard that the Sarnic has been sold, and will thus be under new ownership when it opens. sorry to see Faruk and Selma leave if that is the case-have heard that they have upped sticks and moved to Gocek.
will be curious to hear impressions of the new restaurant!

last year they had live traditional music and classical music on certain nights during the summer. I was hoping to try this out this summer, but hearing that it has been sold may now change that!
