Remember Calis is lovely but is reclaimed land and a flood plain. Just make sure you have a damp course and not the lowest situated property in the area. Would always recommend to view during a downpour to see which way the water flows. Since the roads were made up all the water flows straight into my property as there is no drainage in place.

We have our place in Calis but it's on the outer perimeter.  We have a lovely quite and peaceful setting, no flooding and fabulous views of the fields and mountains, it's only 5 minutes in the car to the seafront or 15 minutes walk.  We have the best of both worlds.

One thing I would say is that on CBF we often see just how loyal to their own areas members can be. Be it Hisaronu or Koca Calis or anywhere else, the people who live/bought there believe it to be the best place (of course). So the question may not be where is the best place, but to find which place suits you best  :)

We want outskirts really, we don't want to live in the middle of town but my hubby has his eye on Uzumlu and although I drive I just think it will be a bit too remote for me. Can we have your place Jacqui, it sounds perfect for me.....?

We need to go and see for sure, we will go next week then again in January when we get the rain!

Is Deliktas on the outskirts?

There are some places around us up for sale, also some new places being built, so you could live near me, but I love our place far too much to give it up.

I lived in Deliktas for 4 years but moved to Calis this year because, well thats a long but not interesting story!
I loved Deliktas Its on the Dolmus route for either Centrum, The Marina and Karagozler or Olu Deniz Hisoranu etc and within easy walk of Otogar and town
Calis is nice but I always liked Fethiye and all its life
Saying that Fethiye is 10 mins by Dolmus for me now and I have found many places in Calis I had never visited all the time I lived in Fethiye, so I can recommend both places.
