When I purchased a new laptop last year one of the screen savers photos on the system was of a castle.  Now as far as I am concerned all castles belong in Scotland, so I showed Gordon "where is this" and without a blink  of the eye said "Dunnottar Castle", why had he never mentioned this to me before.
So this year taking our holidays touring around Scotland (prior to descending on family)I realised my dream.

Dunnottar Castle

Ah what memories. :) Used to visit there often when I was a lad and before anyone thinks about commenting, no it was newly built.

Hope you had a run up to Slains Castle at Cruden Bay?  I have a lovely view of it from my windows.  I think it's more spectacular that Dunnottar, and Bram Stoker did stay there and get his inspiration to write Dracula one cold and stormy night.
Go to Google and put in Slains Castle, Cruden Bay and look at the images.

Slains is now another on the list 'to see' we are in Arbroath again soon, no excuse.
The place I want to live is Crail (if it was me who won the £161m lottery it would have been nearly all of Scotland!).  Crail was one of the many most beautiful harbours I have seen (Looe/fowey Cornwall come close).

I spent the time waxing lyrical over the many places we visited, shouting 'STOP THE CAR' when yet another scene took my eye (one of the many reasons it took us over 12 hours to get home!) Gordon although extremely patriotic and a very proud Scot made a comment on our visit, stating that he took his homeland very much for granted and was now seeing the beauty through my eyes.

Crail Harbour.
Also, what a fantastically romantic name,'East neuk Kingdom of Fife'.

H would I ever question your age? now would Gordon? waldorf and statler

Without the help of Google, can you tell me the first names of Statler and Waldorf?
