I managed to download one but have sent them anyway. My kindle was charging so not sure if that is what caused the problem
.

Right - not sure if this has been mentioned over the previous 7 pages but Kindle books don't open if they are registered to another Kindle. I have the books on my desktop and have tried both dropping them into my Kindle and using Calibre to convert them but it says they are DRM protected. Is there any way around this protection or are the books only good for the person who bought them?

Stoop - I couldn't possibly (or publically) condone the removal of DRM protection from a legally purchased ebook so I'll email you this evening. :)

Removing the DRM Wrapper is only 'legal' (ish) if your intention in doing so is so that you can read it on an ereader which doesn't support the original format. For example when you have purchased an ebook from Amazon but your reader doesn't read .mobi files. Once converted into an unprotected format it's for use by the original purchaser only and any subsequent distribution or sharing (i.e. via CBF) is illegal.

BTW - as far as I'm aware (I haven't personally checked all 13,280) all the books in the Ebook Catalogue are not DRM protected and can be shared without fear of persecution. prosecution.

I look forward to that email  :)

I am able to read one of the books that Debra sent.  Will tell you about the rest when I remember what I did to get the rest downloaded
