I would not be at all surprised if Lord Lucan rode up on Shergar saying he is putting a group together with Brian Rix to buy Rangers FC.

Beyond farce and so sad for their loyal fans.

When things like this happen you also see the true loyalty of some of the players. I am a Celtic fan but its great to see that some of the team are not jumping ship. Lee Wallace is a great example. Came to Ibrox and struggled at first to win over the fans but worked hard gave 100% every game and became one of their better players by the end of the season. Now unlike some of the others with money grabbing agents has decided to wait and see what happens at the club before jumping ship.

They may get in the First Division, bet they wouldn't if it was someone else.

Rangers newco's acceptance into the Scottish FA would only be approved if they accept responsibility for the football debts and fines incurred by the previous club along with their waiving of rights to a legal challenge.

Having taken the time to read through the article it seems they would have to fess up big time to get this deal but at least other teams would get what they were owed.

The current and historical club called Rangers is fading into oblivion.
The physical assets and, arguably, the players are owned by Sevco 5088 and Sevco Scotland.
These  two companies are, on the face of it, owned by Charles Green who may be fondly remembered by Sheffield Utd. fans.
There may be a new club joining Scottish football leagues but it will not be the current and historical Rangers.
Should the new 'club' try to pass itself off as the current and historical Rangers then the creditors who have been stiffed are entitled to sue for their money. This money includes around £100m for tax, Vat, Paye Nic.
