I don't know why they dont turn the seats around as they do in the military, it has been proved far safer, as for out of business? i don't think so!

Very interesting Mark thanks for the info - I'm always amazed at the number of people who ignore the safety information - often too busy checking out the duty free prices in the inflight magazine

In 1967 we flew in a Turbo Prop to Majorca and the seats were facing backwards......

Years ago the runways weren't wide enough to turn round , so some aircraft had to fly backwards .   ;)

The seats on military planes face backward after all you don't crash in reverse
