Hello
« on: February 24, 2013, 15:35:29 PM »
Hi

I'm not strictly a new member but have a new log in ID in my own name   :D
I'm Karen, my husband is Mehmet, some of you may remember he used to work in Serkul 1 many moons ago with his brothers Adem and Harun.
We've been living in Manchester since we got married 6 years ago and we try to get back to Calis a couple of times a year although not always easy now we have children of school age and holiday prices to contend with!
We'll be back in May for our new arrival to meet her Turkish grandparents for the first time- can't wait!

Karen

Thanks all  :D

Scunner- Mehmet has settled surprisingly well in the UK, better than I thought he would, he's just got on with it really and as long as he can watch his beloved Besiktas on the internet he's quite happy.

Puma-always nice to hear people mentioning they met me back in the days when I could sit in Serkul and have a peaceful beer and a chat in the evening while Mehmet was working. Don't get out so much in the evenings now-with the three little ones its more peaceful to get them in bed and then 'chill out' (=collapse) on the veranda with a g&t and a good book!
