Introduction
« on: April 06, 2013, 21:13:57 PM »
Hi all, just joined the forum and wanted to introduce our selves.

We are Gareth and Elaine Patten, and we are from South Wales.

We live in Patlangic, and have been here for 6 months. We came over with our two cats in October last year, and we intend to stay here until we pop our clogs.

We have been visting the area on holiday for nearly 20 years. Elaine is a volunteer at the FIG shop on Fridays, I help with some things for them. I am a member of the AKUT Search and Rescue group.

We look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to CBF, what a lovely introduction! Sounds like you're both blending in brilliantly already as well as living your dream.

Hi Gareth and Elaine and welcome to the Forum, I am really interested with your involvement with the AKUT as it is something I would really like to do in the future, when out on longer periods, I have thought about this in the past, but thought it would be impractical with the language barrier and other things, if you wouldn't mind could you please drop me a line if you've got a little time to explain what you do with them and how you went about joining.

Hi Tony, AKUT meet at the operation centre at the cemetery on the bend of the road from Ataturk cadd going up to Hisaronu (Oludeniz Cadd) every Friday at 17:30.
If you want we could meet there just before, and I will introduce you. We can discuss what you may be able to do to help the group and forthcoming programme.
The price for joining is a cwtch (only joking)!!
