if it is retrospective, it should go back to the timing of the incident and Liverpool be docked a goal.

How about Chelsea retrospectively giving back all the points and trophies won with goals scored from free kicks and penalties won by Drogba going down like a big girl's blouse without being touched? :D

Very good piece in the paper from Jamie Carragher, who, to his credit did not mention the fact that Defoe only got a yellow card for biting.   Also did not mention Torres trying to break his (Jamie' ;) jaw with an elbow.

He'll be happy, he doesn't want to play for them anyway.

We this is what the club have said:

"The club, who have until Friday at 12:00 BST to appeal, said they were "shocked and disappointed" at the length of the suspension. as they had hoped for longer"

Jamie C said Suarez needs help, I think the authorities have responded to this and effectively given him time off to reflect on his actions and attempt to develop strategies to avoid things like this happening again. I guess this will be viewed positively by Jamie C as Luis will not now be distracted by the extraordinary demands that football at the highest level places on individuals and will be free to look at matters calmly and coolly.
I fully expect Jamie who stated that Luis' actions were "wrong on all levels" to endorse the response of the FA and thank them for their assistance.
If however he was to complain that Liverpool FC are being punished i.e. being without their best player, that is another matter, but the thrust of his article was to help Luis and help the FA has provided, let's see if Jamie says he agrees.
