That's assuming then that everyone visiting Turkey has internet access.

I think you can also get them at the airport as there will be stations available to pay and print. I think it said that in the news letter anyway.

I wonder if they'll tell every passport control officer about it, or just 9 out of every 10 like normal.

Yes - they will probably decide they need a Visa Desk to cope with the confusion just like the last Visa Desks but this one will be called The Yeni Visa Desk and charge £10 + £5 fine for being stupid - that would be a good move to make people feel good as they arrive :-)

Hi,

We have the stamp visa from April and will be returning in August, so the visa should be valid...we hope!  Has anybody had any problems, if they have returned on a visa stamp?

We also have a friend coming out with us, but not too sure if they should apply online for the e-visa, or if the visa stamps will still be available at the beginning of August.

Any thoughts appreciated....

I have just printed my E Visa. No problems but don't know why they need your parents names and also the payment is quoted as 20 USD. Hope it is recognised as valid when I enter Turkey.

I have just realised that 20 USD converts to £13. Oh well I suppose it was worth spending an extra £3 to avoid the visa queue.

Why is it dollars anyway? A tiny percentage of people visiting Turkey are American. Why not Euro or Pounds, or even Lira :o
