Hi All Newbie here :D
« on: July 02, 2013, 10:14:24 AM »
Hi All,

I first have to say how informative this forum is I now check this every day leading upto my second return to Calis at Kaan hotel! Leave UK on Friday for 2 weeks cant wait :D!!!

First time was brilliant but didnt leave the hotel much so hoping this time we make more of what calis and fethiye has to offer!

If anyone wants to give me a list of things to do/see whilst i discover the hidden gems of Turkeys finest area I would be more than greatful!

Also any hints at where to go to book day trips at quality over price but price also being cheapish!  :)

21 y/o coming with 20, 19, 23, 18 y/o's family trip :D

Regards,

David

lucky you! I've just come back on Sat, and already counting the days till August when I go back. It is such a great area to explore,  locally and further afield, with a fantastic bus service, (or on foot if you are intrepid). You can't go wrong with the boat trips bookable on the harbour, with lunch included, and stops for swimming etc. Jeep safari, quadbike safari, horse riding all very easily available.

Hi Angela,

Thanks for the feedback and i cant wait although being in work is making this week draggggg :(

Yes, the quad safari we did last year with a company near the beach front in Calis however, the men who did the safari were....how can i put this.... very "affectionate" to my girlfriend! so was just wondering about other companies CBF users use and their credibility with these companies.

The boat trips arent a problem the Kaan hotel sorts one out with the guests so that usually gets sorted first week to get to know everyone. However, bars and drinking wise last time we stayed around the hotel bar. So finding good places to go drinking and atmosphere would be another good thing to get off the CBF members!

Thanks for your time!!!

David

For boat trips I would say either www.jerryboat.com or www.sugarsboat.com both around 40tl - great food included but drinks are extra. Sugars boat pick up from hotel 9:30 return 5:30ish. Jerry probably similar.

For drinking - I don't but I understand that Scarlett Bar is quite lively - but don't go any time before 11:00   ;). Recently refurbished.

I have seen the dancers in the last photo in Four Seasons in Ovacik. They are fantastic and well worth going to see.
