As a callow youth I spent a couple of summers hitching round Europe. Now I am a State Pensioner (Hilary forbids the phrase signified by OAP to be used in this household) I think this bus pass adventure is a great idea. Might do it next summer. Now all I need is a network of CBFers to offer overnight accommodation across England and Wales (apparently our cards won't work in Scotland - but I guess they'll be an independent country up there soon and have already started disengaging).
