removal/cargo companies
« on: August 18, 2014, 21:44:38 PM »
I am relocating to Calis at the end of October and m looking for a reliable + reasonable company to ship my belongings over from UK. It is only a small move of personal stuff and clothes...(ok, lots of clothes) but no furniture or heavy items. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance   :)

Thank you, will drop them an email. Getting silly quotes like £2840...for some clothes and personal stuff...could buy everything new 10 times or more for that   ;)

Parcel2go quoted us £140 for a large suitcase (40kg)
They are a bit like Gocompare and give comparative quotes.

Hi Joyce, one thing to remember is that paying for extra baggage is by far the cheapest way - either you bring more, or if people will be visiting you, leave a suitcase full with them if they don't mind (pay for it though!!). Jet2 and easyjet are very good for extra cases.

If you go with an independent courier, before handing over your possessions, make sure they have full Commercial Use Insurance for the vehicle covering Europe and Turkey and Goods In Transit Insurance sufficient to cover any loss.
