No. I had a T bone, first in maybe 10 years - and it was fabberleous. As was the ambulance and setting.

Like Ian we started outside and when it got nippy we were moved to an inside table with no fuss.

Ahhhh!  Steak, the one meal that ever restaurant in Turkey is judged by.   Steak the national dish of Turkey.   However, the steaks we saw getting sent back looked tough enough to sole shoes.

I can't believe they are still serving that aberdeen angus steak, after all the complaints about it, should be off the menu and stick to good old fashioned Fethiye steak.  : :) ;D

We"re thinking of going to the Mancero tonight. Will report back tomorrow unless we are still waiting for the main course.

Is there Fethiye Steak Mark??  I have seen a couple of elderly cows being grazed by the river, but no herds anyhere.  I did hear that in some part of Turkey they keep beef cattle in huge sheds and they never seen the light of day.   Also heard that most of the steak is imported from Russian, Germany and Poland.

The restrictions on importing meat were lifted a few years ago when all the prices went up. The imported meat in the supermarkets are clearly labeled as such...

Apart from the time two years ago (I think) when the ban on importing meat was lifted due to a shortage all meat comes from within Turkey. The best meat, and vegetables are exported!

There is in intensive farming in Turkey just like there is anywhere else in the world.
