I think Sunset and Anatolia both have Kavak listed as the house wine.

Sunset was one that had it listed but was told they didn't have it !

It was 25tl a litre bottle in Asda just last month. Its a sauvignon blanc, bit too dry for me. I,ll stick to the Angora in the clear bottle. its still a dry white wine, Recep at the fish market, got me into it  I had a nice helpful lesson in the Asda shop, they showed me that they are both made by the same people and that Kavac in the green bottle is a slightly less quality, but very drinkable! While it was on offer, I bought both.  ;D ;D 8)

Can`t  you buy a bottle at the supermarket and pay corkage at the restaurant. I would not they would charge very much because when all is said and done they would in effect be getting money for no outlay, which I think would appeal to the restaurant owner vying for custom ,or alternatively, not selling wine.

Casacluggo - I wouldn't dream of doing that in the UK so why would I do it in Turkey.  :)

Perhaps they'd let you bring in food from a different restaurant then, if that was the food you want to eat.
