It seems as though Calis got off quite light in last night's storm compared with further east along the coast. Despite not having electric for most of the evening, thunder and lightning and strong winds causing some damage to trees and structures at Aroma Beach Club and areas of Koca Calis and Yaniklar it was still minimal compared with Finike, Demre, Kas and Kalkan where several people were injured from flying debris and hundreds of greenhouses were destroyed and house roofs blown off, as what is being described as a tornado, swept through the area.
