Ant infestation.
« on: June 07, 2018, 16:34:19 PM »
Hi all. We have an infestation of very small ants or bugs that are all over our kitchen work tops. I have tried getting rid of them but they are back after an hour or so. Anyone have any solutions to this problem?

Another very good thing to try is Borax available from the chemist .Just ask for a small carton .Mix it with sugar and put it down wherever the little blighters seem to congregate . Next morning it will be black with dead bodies .Do make sure any pets are kept away from the mixture though .

Yes. We used cinnamon powder. Just sprinkled it along the back of the work surfaces and ends. They reduced in numbers after this. I would also try the borax cure next time, if it happens again.

Detan, from Migros. Red spray bottle.
They take it back to the nests.
Never had a problem after using it.

That sounds the perfect solution. Do you spray directly onto the beggars?  :D

Yes on them and any trail they follow. also on the nest entrance if you can find it.
They leave very quickly.
