Cost of ferry or cheap boat from Fethiye to Rhodes please

Can someone tell me please how much the cheapest ferry or someone who has a boat to get to Rhodes from Fethiye please, my son is looking at flying home from Rhodes as the prices are sky high from Dalaman in time for start of college...how often do they run and is the airport quite close by? Soz fir all questions we dont want to book flight if the cost of getting to Rhodes out weighs benefit...can you get a coach or bus to Rhodes...many thanks as always...

Have a look at Yesil Dalyan's website. They run the ferry between Fethiye and Rhodes and the times and prices are on there.

No it would sink   ;)

The port & the airport are on opposite sides of Rhodes Town, I wouldn't know how much a taxi would be. I've seen an airport bus at the bus station in Rhodes Town, which is probably a mile or so from the port. Again I don't know the frequency or cost, but taking other journeys on Rhodes buses as a yardstick, it's likely not more than 10 euros.

The price for the bus journey from the port to the airport in 2014 was 2.20Euros

Ha i did wonder if Rohdana was an island lol! That is great thank you KKOB and Liz for replies...does going to Rhodes count as leaving Turkey if u go and stay overnight still? Iv applied for residency but hubby doesnt want to, so he only has 45 days left woukld be great if we could do that   ;)

Yes it does count and you don't even have to stay overnight. You can just go out on the morning ferry and return on the afternoon trip.

Just one point, if you fly back to the UK from Rhodes, you won't be able to get any duty free

We went to Meis a couple of months ago, we had a short break in Kalkan & Kas & thought it would be rude to not go to Meis. No visas needed, but the pork chop lunch, some decent wine & duty free swung it for us   ;)
